[Y O U]
Name: Jay DeMarcus
Age: Twenty
Face Claim: Jay DeMarcus
[Way B A C K]
History: Jay lead an amazing life as a child growing up in Tenasee, Nashville. He was in a small house with a big famiy. When Grandma died Grandpa moved in with mom and dad. Since his aunt and mother were so close that his aunt and uncle moved in with her. That was a big family under a small house but Jay ouldnt love it any other way.
He found and interest in guitar when he turned nine and it grew by the day. His father bought him his first guitar when he was eleven. He loved it and his and his mother's younger cousin, Gary, played their heart out. Gary was in more of the singing as Jay was more on guitar. They sang in a garage band.
By the time Jay turned fourteen they were in churches singing for youth group. Jay took on churches very fast and became very religious by that time. It was when he was fourteen he meet Remedy. They were the kind of couple you could never separate. She trusted him and he trusted her. There was nothing they didn't love about another.
That was until Jay turned eighteen. He and Remedy were engaged and due for a baby girl any day. Although Jay had gained some weight since he was with her, he was still cute and charming to Remedy and that was all she needed. He was still her Jay when he went to get some air that day, he was still the man she had loved but never would he return home the same way. This was the event that changed Jay's outlook on life and showed him there was hate in this world and it could come to the most unlikely people... even him.
He went to a bar to chill with Gary one night and do some gigs on the stage. When the play was over Jay had to leave to get some un smoked air. He drove his car around and then that's when he pulled over when he shouldn't have, that's when he made the worst move he could possibly make in his life. He stopped and got out of the car. He heard a noise, a gunshot. He should have stopped then, he should have called the cops, he should have went to the bar and told Gary... he should have done something other then just keep walking.
He did, he kept walking into that dark endless life of torture. He walked until there was a lump in the ground, it seemed as if a bag att first but as he got up to it he saw it was a man shot in the heart. He looked down and saw the gun, picking up he looked around and saw nothing but as he continued he heard something in the dark and called out Who's there?. There was no answer so he looked back to the body and heard another shuffle as if it were now coming to him Stop or I'll shoot he said as he picked up the dead man's gun.
The noise didn't stop.
That is when Jay pulled that trigger and that's when the body of a lifeless child fell out of the shadows. He couldn't believe what he did. She must have been seven and too scared to speak and come to him for help. He backed up into the dead man's puddle of blood. He didn't move, he sat on the ground. There was no way after all this that he could just run away from this. He knew she was dead, it seemed as if her body was nearly blue instantly.
The police came to the reported sound of two gunfires and with all his evidence he was convicted of killing the child as well as the man, which wasn't the case. The man was the killer and the child was only protecting herself. They took him to court and he finally came to him spending a year in prison and wearing a brace around his leg. He never argued with anyone the court room protested. He went easy in and never said a word. When he made his phone calls home there was no answer. He knew his little girl had to have been born but no one came in for the first week then finally the good old faithful Gary came threw.
She's beautiful he would say but never would he answer Jay about anything of his finance or family. He just shrugged his shoulders about them not coming and finally when the last day of court neared Gary told him his family had turned on him and Remedy hated him and never wanted to see him again except that he was suppose to come by and pick up something when he came by to get his things.
Jay did just as he was told and the day he got out he went home which he hadn't been in a year. Remedy came crashing around the corner with their baby in hand. She shoved their child in his arms and said Take her, I want nothing to do with you or her ever again! I never want to see you again! Jay couldn't believe what he was hearing but as the glasses flew to his head for him to leave he did as he was told.
When he went home his father gave him no warning knowing Gary already had. Jay, get the fuck outta here he said to his son. When Jay didn't move he laid a fist in his face. Jay never went home again. As he walked away from the house he saw the whole family looking threw the window at him not even bothering to stop him. His mother was crying. It was as if everyone but Gary thought he was guilty. A force of hate shrouded him that day.
He moved far away, to this place... a place of silence. He was alone with a one year old baby that needed him more then anything. One thing he was good at was being with kids but supporting them, buying a car, renting a house... now that was a lot. He took the job as a janitor for a long time until he found Gary. Gary had found him none the less and put him under his wing with his daughter, Destiny rite under his arms.
Gary and Jay started up another church gig and went to bars. They sang again Cumberland Road, their main song. Although the memory wasn't pleasing, Jay knew he had to do it for Destiny. It was then their guitar player got sick and Joe Don Rooney covered for them... the three were never solo again. Joe was their new guitarist as Jay led with flying colors on the bass guitar and Gary led their voice to the big show. Teens all over started to envy their voice and now is titling them The Teen Country Artists Of Their Time. the band is big as it's just getting bigger.
Now having a year pass and the money situation cooling down Jay is giving all he could for his little girl, the love of his life, with Gary and Joe by his side.
Personality: If you want to know who he used to be compared to now then listen loosely.
Jay used to be a man that was carefree and made everyone smile. That was his goal, to see a smile from everyone everyday. He was easy to talk to and fun to be with. He never made the loners feel alone and shunned from anywhere. His main goal was to have everyone around him happy and content. He would do all he could to make sure this is what came on everyone's face.
After the incident he found that life wasn't as joyful as he thought it was and never smiled, it just made him seem not like Jay... the Jay they knew. He was quiet and barely every around to make a smile on anyones face. In fact he never did. His will to be happy left him in a rush, his mind was set on just his daughter. One day Gary told him that even thought he loved his past at one point and he's crazy for his daughter... there was only one way to get threw this and that was to let it go. He had Destiny and knew if Jay came back then his daughter would broaden a future of other lives. Jay you have one life and one time as of this point to make another life just as you dreamed hers would always and ever be... don't screw this up.
Now Jay stands as a loving man and everything he used to be. A funny side as well as a sensitive side. Yet as when he used not to mind so much he could be found way more protective and a little more pushy about where he lets the ones he loves do things. Such as a girlfriend going out with a guy so he can get her to work. The thought of losing another lover is just devastating to him.

Jake sat in the seat waiting for them. He looked at the neighborhood. He reached over and pressed the button for all the doors to open that no one was sitting in the seat to. The doors swung up softly, letting them in. He gave a soft smile at her shaking his head No, no not at all. he said as everyone was to get in the car. He turned on his car, which wasn't loud and obnoxious. He pressed the gas and drove normal, not like he had a speed car.
Finally making it to the mall he parked and opened all the doors and got out himself. Taking out his wallet prepared to pay for their ways in cause well... he was just like that. He had nothing to spend it on really. He set down the cash and once they were in the theater he walked down the steps to the third seat back from the screen. Of course he thought Ana was cute, who wouldn't? That was his problem. He wasn't in it for cute, he was in it for charm and cleverness. If a girl can get him to like him, that's clever. It meant it was somewhere in them to think so deep to get to him.
As he sat and waited for the movie to start he remembered to get food so he stood up and walked back to everyone. What do y'all want? he asked, his southern peeking threw his vocals just a bit. He shoved his hands in his nice slim jacket as he waited for them to speak. He could remember things pretty well so as long as they said what they wanted with no stutter then he could probably do it.
Jake wasn't afraid to be nice or get in someones face about something if he had to. If he wanted a guy to stop fucking around, he would make them. If a girl was getting to him, he would tell them he didn't like it. Even though he was nice he could be mean as well. He just had boundaries.
Still he stood their waiting for a reply from everyone and once he got it he turned around to leave as well as head to the bathroom before he watched the show. He hated having to pee rite in the mist of all the action. Being it was a horror movie he might want to go before his body just did it on its own, now that would be bad. Before he left the door he stopped and looked back If any of ya wanna go to the bathroom, I'd do it now. he said with a light smile. He was picturing them all fidgeting to need to go in the middle of the show.
Turned around he continued to walk, waiting just outside to see who would be coming with him. If no one came in twenty more seconds then he would assume no one was going to come and he just had to go by himself. It would be nice for someone to come and help with all the food and stuff cause he knew he couldn't do that all on his own.
I've dealt with my ghosts and faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
Ive found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once Im at peace with myself
Ive been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
Im movin on
Ive lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but theyre always the same
They mean no harm but its time that I face it
Theyll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I dont belong
Im movin on
Im movin on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know theres no guarentees, but Im not alone
There comes a time in everyones life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone
I sold what I could and packed what I couldnt
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
Ive loved like I should but lived like
I shouldnt
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
Im movin on
