Name: Cole Chain
Age: Twenty Three
Face Claim: Logan Bartholomew
[Way B A C K]
History:
Grew up on a ranch in Missouri. He was the boy to
do his work until dinner time came and then watch a movie with
mom and dad then hit the hay. Even though they were in modern
day, Willie's parents lived the old fashion way. Hell they even used
a well for their water and refused on anything else. His mother
bore 3 boys and 1 girl. Logan was the oldest of them all and never
acted younger. He was always helping change diapers, mow the
lawn, feeding the horses. Never did he have to be asked to do a
cent nor did he ask for a money for what he did.
In late December, a week before Christmas. Logan's mother died of
a heart-attack. His father was left with four children and he did damn
near did his best to keep them healthy and strong. Logan was only
16 when it happened. Still he worked on the ranch and made sure
everything was ready for the winter. July 4th, his brother and him walked out to the forest, ignoring his brothers cry to go back and that he was cold, Willie kept on. The darkness consumed them and no more then four hours after they both got to sleep... Willie woke up to his brother frozen dead on his lap. He'll never forgive himself for that, that shaping most of the man we see today.
On an August day at the age of 17, Willie found that special girl
to turn his world Topsy Turvy. Her name was Valiana Colbridge.
To him there was never not anything to work for. He spent all his
time with her. His father never complained, he knew his son was in
love. The other boys weren't so lucky, they had to do the chores that
were missed with Willie's help.
Two years following, Willie got married under their oak tree where
his momma always dreamed him having it, where her and his dad
got married so many years ago as well. Willie was living the dream
he had so seemed worked so hard. They had their own land and a
cottage on the edge of the country. A year following the wedding
Valiana spoke she was pregnant. All were happy, why shouldn't
they have been? They had a house, they loved each other, there
was no doubt that winter was going to treat them well. A baby
coming, it was the perfect time, the perfect world.
He had what he wanted. Nine months after a baby girl was born and there
she began to grow. Willie kept up his work even though
he wanted to spend no stop time with his daughter, he couldn't.
Otherwise there would be lack of everything in the later season.
His life may sound back in the old west but to him, it was. He knew
of electronics, but the way his dad brought him up. That just didn't
seem rite.
When their baby turned 2, life went for a bad turn. Their baby girl,
Cashlynn got really sick as so did his wife. Later that week he found
that his father had passed and his siblings moved on to get away
from the virus. His family was dying and he didn't know what to do.
He couldn't leave them here, he couldn't take them, they were too
weak to take anywhere and even if they were strong enough, moving
them would be spreading the virus. He didn't want to do that. He
watched his wife slip away and soon found he had to move on. He
took Cashlynn to a city. There they cared for her. She was in the
the hospital for months and never did it seem any better.
Willie got a job as a K-9 cop during that time and
he got an apartment. This was his life now. He was gone from his
surroundings but it was safest as so he learned. He couldn't risk
the life of his daughter. Her mother's death seemed to take away
that spirit to do things the hard way. He was always cutting lines
so his daughter would be safe. No matter what he did it was for her.
She was all he had, he was all she had.
It was 8 months after they moved here that Cashlynn was out of
the hospital and a chipper little 3 year old. She loved her toys, the
house, the baths but most of all she was crazy for her dad.
Willie is now 23, just trying to make sure he can get her by and not
have to deal with anything he encountered in his past. Losing Cashlynn
would be the end of his time.
It's just getting to that point where Cashlynn is asking for a Pony...
Personality:
Logan is a determined man. Over all he can be
the sweetest lover and the most loving father. He finds himself
distant to the passion for a companion and just works at life as
an officer to be sure his child lives. His greatest fear is losing her
in anyway. He may not know it but deep inside he longs for the
love only another adult can bring, a woman. Still in his mind he
belongs to his wife but it is time to come to facts, she is long gone.
He can become very defensive over a conversation about this, he
has been known to get violent over anything of his daughter or
wife. He knows she's gone and that's what kills him.

Example Post:
The nanny had Cashlynn, while he plowed his friends horses up across the Hyke to get them over to the auctions around the bend. The snow blared down on his face and it took him back to that time with his little brother Matt. These memories bounded out of his head just as fast as they had hit. He had to get this ride work done and go home. Every step was dangerous with four horses roped on your one horse. He knew none of these horses and how they acted so everything was on the line but he got paid good. It was his Christmas break from work, his dog was along side him for the trip. Of course he was smarter and more on the flat area that was covered by trees, where four horses couldn't be. They had to be snug against the ledge.
He figured they all were just as scared as he was. One wrong move from any of them and they would drag the rest of them down. His mind searched for a safer way to do this but he was always brought back to That's why I'm here, it's dangerous... otherwise Bud would have done it he reminded himself of his friend that was paying him to do this. Heart pounding and he rolled through the three foot snow. He couldn't see anything they were stepping on. This high in evolution and he was freezing, snow crashing in his eyes. This was by far the worst place he could be alone. The only worst place than this was waiting for help in the cold night for someone to get his brother help, holding his dying wife's hand and watched her slip away with nothing to do, and sitting in the hospital praying that his daughter would make it through this night... every night.
He looked down the steep edge and then back to the trail, it just seemed to get thinner and thinner. Soon enough all the horses were pressing against each other to stay on. He was scared, that was for sure. A man honestly admitting he was scared of something he could avoid. He pulled his collar up a little more to warm up his neck and back. Life just wasn't the same without death on the line. He wasn't sure if anyone realized that but he sure did.
Then it happened in a blink of an eye. The far horse, near the edge slipped and he, being a horse rider. Stuck to the horse like it was darting to the side. He should have jumped. He'd have his life but he had no time to think. Letting out a yell as he went over the edge and rolled down the hill, feeling hooves against his face, bodies on his back and everything a horse could impact you with. He was in pain once he got to a small ledge. The horses stood up, none seeming to be hurt or having anywhere to go. Willie was sure out of it, for how long he wasn't sure but he remembered waking up to the sound of his dog, Pete echoing the Hyke. An avalanche could certainly hit if he kept it up. Since it was just getting cold, there was slimmer chances of an avalanche coming. That happened more in spring, when the snow melted.
He started to stand up, his body torn to pieces. He saw the blood in the snow. It looked like he should be dead from all the blood and the fall he had taken. Looking up to see where he had come from, he shook his head. He was amazed he was still alive. Scratching the back of his head he looked back up to see Pete, the size of a nickel up there as far away as he was. Pete, help! he shouted.
The dog took those words in a command and found himself running back the way he had come. That could certainly take hours if he kept at a fast pace. Willie wasn't sure how long he had to go. He sighed and fell back in the snow, to his knees. Looking up, the horses all walking over to him and surrounding him as if they knew they could keep him warm as well as each other. Rising being in the center of unknown horses was very dangerous. He needed their heat though. One more wrong move they could take the rest of the fall down the rocks and surely die and never see light again. Dark was just a few hours away. Who ever did find him would have to get him out in the mist of the foggy, winter like night.
