Morgan laughed, "Oh really?" Her tone was sarcastic. Okay, my car's still in the shop. I had to get new tires and whatnot." She just sat quietly in the car as Jay walked around. She was kind of nervous; she'd just met a guy and was going somewhere with him. Morgan squirmed a little in her seat. No. He doesn't look like someone who would do that. Besides...I like him. The conviction even sounded strong in her thoughts.
Morgan looked at Jay as he started the hotrod and put it into gear. She nodded as he spoke; her thoughts still wandering. "Cool." She smiled as he did when he thought about the real randomness of the meeting place. "How often do you guys do something like this? Once a week? A month?" Her eyes lit up by some amount of curiosity.
Morgan's thoughts wandered again in the silence. I wonder if he likes me. Am I being to open about myself like that? She looked down at her hands. Does he even feel that way? The question rang in her ears. She shook her head minutely. You're being paranoid. Just stop. And breathe. Morgan exhaled and leaned back in the seat. See? No worries. Her eyes wandered back to Jay, wondering what he was thinking at this very moment.

Jay rolled the car out of the parking lot and found his way to the street and then Highway. Well, we do this about once a month then during the peak of winter when the snow is high we all go camping. he laughed knowing that it sounded crazy. Its a tradition. he shrugged.
He tried not to make anything obvious that he might have a thing for her. He sighed and looked up at the road How often you go camping? he asked. Oh, before anything happens, I'm sorry for whatever I might do. I'm going to try and stay sober but I cant promise anything. he said looking over at her for just a second and then back on the road. How old are you? he asked noticing that he hadn't asked yet.
He reminded himself that Joe was there and maybe they could get a little more acquainted during this time period. Joe wouldn't like it at first but Gary and Jay could hold the fort down for sure.

Morgan nodded as he spoke, looking over at him occasionally. She laughed as he apologized. "I'm seventeen, but my birthday is tomorrow." She looked out her window, letting that sink into his head, his thoughts. Morgan looked at him straight this time. Hopefully, he was too preoccupied with the road to really notice.
She sighed and looked back outside. Don't do it, Morgan, she thought to herself. Don't tell him. Do not tell him. Oh God, here I go. She took in a deep breath quietly, but kept her eyes staring out the window. I like you, Jay...a lot. Her blue-green eyes flickered to his face to see the hint of emotion before any reaction took place. Now you've done it. He probably thinks you're a psycho now.
She exhaled deeply and braced herself. Maybe it won't be so bad. Remember that one time you told Thomas? Morgan smirked as she remembered sophomore year when she had a crush on her best friend's older brother. Alyssa didn't care, but she had told Morgan to tell him since she told her. He had played it cool, and, hopefully, Jay would too.

Jay kept the wheels rolling, he sighed glad she was still in datable range, the law was three years and he was twenty. Your birthday, and I get you for your birthday. This is going to be exciting! he mentioned with a happy smile. Keeping his eyes on the road he saw her look at him and looked at her after she turned her head back.
Jay soon found a hint of silence in the time being and was caught off guard when she spoke a few important words. I like you, Jay... I really like you it took a moment for him to process it and he wanted to make sure it was true by stating something back to reassure him in a hidden way I like you too he said not really in a LIKE was but more of a like even though he meant it as a LIKE.
He was glad he had her now, to be able to talk to someone and get to know. Maybe they would really start to hit it off, I mean... it had only been an hour or so since they first knew each other, five knowing OF each other. He kept driving and looking forward waiting for her to say something along the lines of No, Jay. I like you like you.

Morgan smiled uneasily. Amused that Jay could joke about them dating, if that was what he meant. She sighed unconsciously when he told her blatantly that he liked her, too. Morgan shook her head. "I don't think you really know what I mean, Jay." She sighed again, starting to twirl a strand of hair through her fingers as she continued staring out the window blankly.
Her mind flickered from one thought to the other. Not really stopping before moving on to the next. Maybe this was too short a time frame for him to know. He did just meet me. Morgan's eyes moved back to Jay, and she watched silently as he drove onward. Inwardly she worried about the night and its fast approaching festivities. Would Gary be there? She nodded to herself. Surely he would be, but what about Joe? Her lips twitched slightly back into a frown.
Would she ever know the story behind his reaction to her? Morgan's eyes brows furrowed slightly. All she had done was walk into the room, smile, and wave. Morgan turned her head slightly towards Jay, but she remained quiet.

Jay looked over at her and put his hand over on her lap. Whats wrong? he asked. He didn't want her to be sad. Then the thought that she might have been more serious than he thought she was. Maybe we could try it out? He decided to wait and think on that until they got to their destination.
He rolled the car into the forest. It was night time now. If you need to call you family and tell them where you are, my coat is in the back seat, I have unlimited everything, don't be afraid to talk on it whenever you want to. he eyed it and then looked back at the road.
They came into a darker part of the forest and beyond them was a pub. He pulled up seeing Gary's SUV and with him had to be Joe. He pulled up next to the SUV and then grabbed his jacket and slapped it over his shoulder but didn't put it on. Ready? don't be afraid to order anything ya want. I'm payin'. he took her hand again and lead her inside.

Morgan's eyes locked onto his hand fervently, but instead of brushing it away, she slid her hand on his tracing the veins softly. He spoke, asking what was wrong. "Nothing," she tried smiling. The attempt came out alright. She watched her confession sink into his mind. Morgan watched him for any other reaction.
The day had slipped into night eagerly. Jay spoke again. She shook her head. "I moved here to get away from them. Why would I call them," she asked, mostly to herself, but she was pretty sure that Jay could hear her. She smiled as he offered it to her. Maybe he does care. As Morgan turned her head, she caught sight of the pub. Oh, yay. Drinking. She smirked, the sarcasm was amusing.
As they pulled alongside, she was assuming what was to be Gary's SUV, she saw two figures: Gary and Joe. Surprise, surprise. Morgan smiled this time. Her eyes followed Jay as he grabbed his jacket. She nodded, opening the door at the same time. His words reached her ears as they closed their doors. Morgan smiled and ducked her head in the sudden wind following Jay inside, her hand in his.
Morgan noticed that there was music playing as they all entered: first Gary, then Joe and Jay, and she followed suite. A blond waitress with, in Morgan's opinion, too short a skirt had all of them follow her to a booth near the back. The cloth of the cushion was a faded forest green color, and the shape of it was a U-bend. Morgan sat on the outside with Jay on her left and Gary across from her. Joe sat on Jay's left.
She looked and flipped through the menu briskly, already having decided to order chicken fingers. She smiled to herself. Like old times. Morgan took what free time she had to look at her companions for the night. Joe never met her gaze, but Gary just looked and smiled. Finally, she looked at Jay. With her head turned only slightly, her eyes traced his features. When she looked away, she sighed and closed the menu, laying it flat on the table.

Jay looked at her as she traced his hands, this he didn't mind at all although little irritated him anyways. He smiled to the thought of her always doing this. He could certainly live with something like this, that's for sure.
She had his same ideas about family. The only family he counted on was Gary and that was the end of it. He hated his X for what she did. Then the thought crossed his mind, he turned his head so he was clearly looking at her then back to the road. There was a certain huge info that she wasn't informed about. Oh well, I'll tell her later. It's not like we're dating or sleeping together, rite? he accepted his own excuse and pulled up into the parking lot, the boys already here.
He slid beside Morgan and let the other guys fill in as they waited. He ordered a hamburger and a 16oz blood red steak. Gary and Joe took their own orders and soon enough another waitress came over asking what they'd like to drink. Jay ordered a pitcher of beer as so did Gary both on separate tabs. Joe was pretty much Gary's date. Joe didn't order any drinks what-so-ever.
Jay looked over at Morgan You not gonna drink? he asked as the pitcher was set on the table. He tipped the waitress that gave them the beers cause chances were after this, Jay was going to be too hammered to count cash.
Joe bent his back so his head was in his folded arms. He hadn't said a word. Jay knew he was nervous around Morgan but he also knew that it wasn't her fault... Joe knew it wasn't her fault... I guess it was just a phobia. Jay began his first beer as Gary took cautious sips. Jay didn't drink much but when he did, he did.

Morgan looked casually around the table, a bite of chicken being chewed slowly already. Gary was busy eating, as was Joe, who was always careful never to meet her eyes. I'll have to the story about that from Jay...speaking of which... Her eyes slid past Joe to Jay, who had been cutting a steak, but had moved on to pour a glass of beer for himself.
She listened vaguely, still chewing as Jay asked her a question. Maybe later. Not now though. The waitress came back with her Coke as she stated her answer. A strand of her hair came loose from the half-pony as Morgan turned back to her plate. Instead of using her fingers, she ate the fries and chicken fingers with a knife and fork. She never knew why, but always did it.
Two hours later...
As they all left the pub, Jay cracked a joke, and they all laughed. Gary and Joe split off from the group to go to the campsite, but Morgan got back into the car with Jay. She had had a couple drinks, but had Jay get a shot glass for her so she wouldn't drink so much. It was after midnight now, she was finally eighteen. And her world was blurred around the edges.
Sighing, Morgan turned her head to Jay and chuckled slightly. She took off the cover-up that had been over her baby blue tank-top. It was slightly hot in the car, and Morgan breathed heavily. She didn't know how much Jay had had to drink, but hoped he was okay to drive. If he wasn't, she'd drive them. Her blue-green eyes peered over at Jay innocently.

Jay looked over at Morgan for eating her fries with a fork. He noted it and smiled not asking a question. The uniqueness he liked. He smiled and continued to eat his food. He ate like a guy, fast but his bites were medium. He smiled at her when he finished and drank about 12 beers. He was drunk and in a woozey state.
As he walked out the door you could easily tell he was drunk by the way he walked and how he looked at things. What really got you was the way he talked. He seemed to ramble a lot more and jokes were frequent. He also was a little more suborn and would volunteer in a fight if he had to. He'd knock someone out and pee on em, he had done it before, he'd do it again.
He never really got drunk but tonight was happy. The reason he never got drunk was simple but there was no alleyways within 200 miles. He went out and sat in the car. His blue eyes looked back over to her innocent gaze. He smiled lightly at her. He wasn't planning on driving too much.
He kept his gaze on her, not turning the car on just yet. Jay knew it was her birthday tonight. She had told him earlier. He reached over, his hand caressing her jaw bone as well as her cheek. he guided his face was only inches from her face. He hoped she wouldnt deny him for their first kiss. No, he would have done this anyways even if he werent drunk.

Morgan's gaze was met, and she looked down blushing slightly. She felt his hand on her cheek, leaning into it slightly. As Morgan breathed out, her sea-green eyes looked up at Jay. His face inched closer, and her stomach flipped. This had been what she wanted, right?
Morgan replayed the night in her mind as Jay's face came closer, seeming to take forever. It had been perfect. Her eyes softened as she continued to gaze into his eyes. Love doesn't move at the pace of a two-hour chick flick. The old advice from her mother popped in randomly. She knew that.
Morgan exhaled slightly before pressing her lips to his. Unconsciously, her body slid closer to Jay's. Her fingers knotted themselves through his hair. She pulled back for a moment to look at him, but she pressed her lips back to his softly before she could try.

Jay felt the warmth of her lips touch his, his eyes immediately closed. The touch of her made him go nuts inside but would he be able to control it? That was surly not something he was certain of but after a few more seconds of the second tap of a kiss, he knew he wouldn't be able to hold himself back.
She was inching for him, wasn't she? He smiled slightly and ran his hands down her sides and then back up again. When he realized he might not be able to truly hold himself back at this particular moment he pulled back slowly not to make her think that is what was on his mind.
The secrets he had weren't even thought threw. He was too wasted to think about them at the moment and when they ever did come to his mind, it was when he was at a bar or sitting on a dark street. He hated that night. Then there was another secret that would never give in. It was at home asleep in his bed most likely.
He pressed his fingers against the keys and drove them out to their knew suite, the RV. Gary and Joe were going to bunk together as he took it that Morgan and himself were in the main room.

Morgan pulled back when he did; she had sensed it coming. She kept her hands in her lap, replaying it. Thoughts condemning her rushed in her mind. Was that really supposed to happen, she questioned herself. There had been no wrong in it. She remembered the feeling that hold gone through her as Jay had brushed his hands down her sides, and she bit back a smile.
Morgan wondered what was going through Jay's head and turned her head slightly to look at him, but declined the impulse. The rumble of the car's engine had stopped; they had come upon the RV where they were staying for the night...or days that they would be here. It looked nice in her opinion, not the grandest thing, but good for trips.
Morgan hopped out and walked towards the RV. Her fingertips lingering on the side of the car, waiting for Jay. When she looked up at him, she couldn't make out the expression on his face. Had it been right to kiss him? The worry caused a crease on her brow. She followed him in anyway, hoping to figure out what the cause of his look had been.

He knew she was probably thinking it was her fault that he pulled back and had that look on his face. Now that he had done that, it was all he could do was think about what happened. A sigh ran silently down his bones.
When they came up to the RV he looked at her So, your going on a long ass trip with three guys you barely know? he asked with a grin to lighten the mood. He thought it rather fascinating but also as if they ever did date, he would teach her rules that she had broken here for her safety.
Once in, Joe and Gary hadn't came yet or they were out walking around to calm Joe's mind of a woman being here in the first place. Jay took Morgans hand once he realized they were now alone. He took her in the main room in the back and sat on the bed. He wasn't sure if they should have that talk yet, the one that stated his past; his regrets. Hey you. he said in a slightly nervous way. It was his first time ever showing hints of nervousness.

Morgan smiled as he broke the silence. Yep! She smiled enthusiastically. Walking calmly, she felt his hand find hers, and she smiled when he couldn't see her face. Morgan peeked up at Jay in the evening's darkness. Her eyes became guarded when he spoke. Hey. She smiled, but didn't feel it was right. She could tell he was nervous, but about what?
Morgan thought about Gary and Joe for a brief second. Where could they be? What's up with Joe? Why doesn't he like being even remotely near me? Her lips quivered as she finished the last sentence, and Morgan looked down to her lap. Wavy blond hair wrapped around her shoulders as the last of the half-ponytail came undone. In a softer voice, she asked Why are you suddenly nervous? Looking back up at Jay's face, she stopped trying to smile. It was a failed attempt anyway. Clearly there were stories here that she needed to get to the bottom of.
